Empowering Young Women as Agents of Peace: Why Girls are Radicalizing

This second session of the Women’s Federation For World Peace European Conference in Bratislava was so inspiring. Valentine Nkoyo won the WFWP UK  speech competition  on “Women Making a Difference”. Valentine gave us her testimony and recited a translation of her prize winning poem. The prize was, however not the speech contest, but the attention of her father. Her moving story, growing up in Kenya where girls are expected to fetch water and firewood while the boys go to school, brought me to tears.

Thank you Valentine.
