Ozlilly's musings...

The Toastmasters meeting at the VIC (Vienna International Centre = United Nations Headquarters in Vienna) was a challenge and an opportunity. It was the second Tuesday in the month, a regular meeting time for the VIC Toastmasters Club at lunchtime. Being the middle of summer, many people are away on holidays. In fact, we have been known to cancel two meetings in the summer in past years. Our new executive committee decided to keep up the meetings and use the opportunity with less people to just do it anyhow, to learn, to grow.  So despite no prepared speeches on the agenda, the table-topics (spontaneous speeches) were extended to three minutes, instead of the usual one to two minutes. The table topic master decided to cash in on the election hype and asked us to make our campaign speeches. There were six prepared topics and six volunteers were called to select a note out of a cup.

The whole meeting is recorded and surely interesting to see. I post the link here, though it is marked as a private video : https://youtu.be/vjHuK8dBw1Y
