Ozlilly's musings...

Memoirs. The last leg of the trip up to Queensland when I was fifteen. We had a twelve by 18 foot tent, a VW bus and roofrack. By the end of the 6 week trip we were well trained and each had our own assignments. I was responsible for the ropes.

We had a technique for unpacking and for packing, for putting the tent up and for taking it down again. Gary did the poles, One of the younger boys must have done the hooks. Ron is on top of the roofrack, attaching the tarp and fastening it down with my Dad. He had built a collapsible table behind his driver’s seat for me to keep my log books and maps. There was a pocket in the side of the car.
