This is just to post a link to a video of an auction I attended of a house in the next street to where I grew up in Melbourne’s Western suburbs.
The address is 45 Chelsey Street Ardeer, VIC 3022. Many people are pulling down the old houses and building units. This was taken in 2011 during my first break of service from the Agency after working for the IAEA for two years on a Temporary Assistance contract. The salesman is a Barry Plant agent. The property is a typical quarter acre residential block, fifty foot wide front. The house is a typical weather board house built in the 1950s or 1960s. The final selling price was 343,000 Australian dollars. The agent suggested that three units could typically be built on the property.
