Ozlilly's musings...

Well I just had a look at the “Where the hell is Matt” video and blog. Very interesting and fairly inspiring. also gives me some ideas. that’s the kind of thing I’ve been thinking about doing. I did a feedback with my young unemployed youths and was quite satisfied. One, the drug dealer, said that it was the most boring course he has ever done with the employment service because he knows English and grammar and has studied English at school for 9 years and has English friends. Then when I expressed my desire to find a way to accommodate each one, he said he would appreciate some more vocabulary. So I assured him that’s what I was planning to provide in the second week.

Now I’m not Matt. In fact, I realised on my way home today I’m actually a middle-aged old lady, but please don’t tell these young kids, or even the other trainers because people so easily get predjudiced. These guys have accepted me at face value and maybe I’m the one with preconceived ideas, but I think they would change their attitude if they knew how old I was. Now they think I must be at least forty years old because I told them I have a 20 year old son. But today on the way home, I remembered talking to an “old” friend a few years ago and she told us how tired she was since she entered the menopause.

Aha. Okay. So maybe that’s why I’ve been feeling so tired lately. Thank God that I have not suffered any other major health problems. Even my joints seem to be getting better since I started taking these supplements.

I got a call from the office to ask me if I still wanted Wednesday off. Then an hour later it was arranged. I really do trust my instincts. I knew that she was sick and couldn’t do anything – so what’s the point of calling up and making a hassle? Then of course I sent her a second mail and attached the invitation with me on the programme to speak at the UN. I also used my signature from the women’s federation with the link to the homepage. pity that the homepage has not been updated for so long. well, that’s what this blog’s all about. I do so much and then don’t get around to reporting it.
