We learn in school that atoms have a positive and negative aspect. We learn that the earth rotates around the sun, and the moon rotates around the earth. Electrons rotate around protons.
Divine Principle
The Divine Principle taught me that polarity is a part of life. We were all born from the love of a father and a mother. Then I heard that all the way from atoms and sub-atomic particles, through molecules, plants, animals, and human beings, it is the attraction of the opposite parts, the positive and the negative that is the basis of all creation.
The Divine Principle then introduces another dualism, that of mind and body and the parallel components observable through all realms of creation – that of the invisible subject partner and the visible object form.
I’ve just started watching Dr Tyler Hendricks Divine Principle Lectures.
In the second video he first talks about the polarity in all things, starting with man and woman and then moves to the dualism of internal and external.
Molecules
Once he gets to the molecular level he depicts the cation and anion, which I understand to be the polarity on the molecular level and continues describing the dualism of internal and external.
I find the choice of graphics unfortunate as he jumps to speaking about polarity and dualism which could lead to some confusion. For the sake of consistency, I would suggest finding more appropriate language and not start introducing cation and anion where it is probably physical law and collections of atoms.

Exposition of the Divine Principle
In fact the Exposition of the Divine Principle first introduces polarity as dual characteristics:
For example, subatomic particles, the basic building blocks of all matter, possess either a positive charge, a negative charge or a neutral charge formed by the neutralization of positive and negative constituents. When particles join with each other through the reciprocal relationships of their dual characteristics, they form an atom. Atoms, in turn, display either a positive or a negative valence. When the dual characteristics within one atom enter into reciprocal relationships with those in another atom, they form a molecule….
Then the concept of dual characteristics in reciprocal relations is further applied.
I find these various explanations important and fascinating. Some people still think that conflict is necessary for growth. It’s time to learn these universal principles!
