Australia's national flower
Winter in Melbourne

Of course I also took lots of photos during my visit Down Under. It’s been interesting hearing peoples’ reactions to them. Many of those shots were my desperate efforts to capture a part of Australia and take it back home to Austria with me. How do you catch up after so many years away? How do you show Australia to Austria or put it in your pocket? Why did I take so many photos of wattle? I once heard that there are so many types of wattle in Australia, one blooms every day of the year. I know of many that bloom in winter. That was one good thing about coming at this time of year. I could appreciate coming to Melbourne in winter when I saw all the beautiful wattle.
