So what do you think of Facebook? Was just considering de-registering (a couple of my kids already have) when a dear old friend found me via friends of friends. You never know who will find you on facebook and it could be for the better or for worse. So we can retreat from everything that has a potential for abuse until we have nothing left.
Do you know the joke about the man who heard that certain food additives cause cancer, so he stopped eating certain foods. Then someone said sugar is harmful, so he stopped taking sugar. Then he read that water is dangerous, so he stopped drinking. Well, he died.
Just as outlawing sticks and branches would not have saved Abel from Cain’s attack, simply criminalizing anything that has a potential for evil does not deal with the issue of human nature.
So I’m still in there and appeal to all good souls to please see to it that our precious resources are only used for a good purpose and not abused for self-centred gain or to harm others.
