Toastmasters is a wonderful way to get to know people, to gain confidence, to train in public speaking and to have fun at the same time. On Saturday 1st May 2010, Toastmasters in Vienna hosted an international competition attended by members from the four Vienna clubs as well as Budapest, Hungary.
The programme was in English and began with a Keynote speech which pointed out that Toastmasters actually teaches you to become a good listener. After that the competitors who had qualified in their local clubs competed against each other in an evaluation and speaking competition. This was garnished with two training workshops. Two of the Vienna Clubs meet in the Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien on alternating Tuesday evenings. If you have something to say and are also prepared to listen, check it out!
