Ozlilly's musings...

I do not use YouTube everyday. I have uploaded videos to my ozlilly account. It is now labelled a branded account. But how the heck do I get into it to optimize the settings, channel etc.? I actually wanted to focus on ozlilly as my YouTube account. But now every time I go to YouTube I end up on lilly.austria@gmail.com account. Mostly I can’t even find my saved playlists. All the defaults have changed.

I’m not a millennial. I do not want change every week. I do not need daily change. I appreciate stability and reliability. I use modern media and perhaps naively believe it can be an agent of change for the good of humankind.

I have uploaded videos for Women in Nuclear, for Toastmasters and for Women’s Federation for World Peace. I thought it would be nice to have a channel for each one. I guess that’s where the branded accounts come from.

When I was working full-time I was even playing full-time and NGOing full-time. So some of my activities now are a bit difficult to trace. However, I would expect, now, being a retiree and allegedly having all the time in the world, that I could finally get my act together and optimize my accounts, my channels, my likes and links.

I’ve watched a number of tutorials. Fascinating. Think I might end up making a few myself: for example about easySpeak, our Toastmasters management tool. When I have time. Because actually I am currently working on a book. And yes, this is voluntary so you might want to tell me it is not work, but believe me it is! And yes, I love it! So my life as a retiree is just as busy if not busier than my life as an international civil servant.

Bottom line. I am still an idealist. I joined the UN after a stint as an NGO representative. Our goal? To support the United Nations and build world peace.

My goal now? To support the United Nations and build world peace.

So my YouTube channel is just one of my tools in social media which I use to build world peace. I inspire people. I motivate. I raise issues. I articulate problems which others also have but don’t know what to do about. I am no minority. I am over fifty. I use social media. I use YouTube. I am on FaceBook. I have a blog. In fact, I will probably post this on my blog as an article and then put a link to FaceBook and then put the link in my google feedback. Yes, dear Google. In all your sweeping procurements and optimizations, are you really helping us poor innocent ordinary people? Or are you exploiting all our ideals, rationalizing jobs, swallowing other branches and then mucking up all my settings so I can’t even Skype as Ozlilly anymore?

I haven’t really been following all the market and stock exchange movements relating to Google, Gmail, YouTube, Skype and Co. I just can’t believe that all these global energies could really be used for self-centred, evil, greed motivated, manipulative causes when after all, all you need is love, love is all you need and we all want a world of love, peace and harmony.

Guess what? We are so close! I want to share the good vibes; the good energies. I have lots of friends who believe the internet is evil. Lots of people in Austria think that nuclear energy is evil. Lots of non-Americans think that guns are evil. Many people don’t trust FaceBook. After all there’s so much fake news and fake profiles and even some of my good friends revel at sharing the trash that gets fabricated as an amusing post, putting somebody else down.

I just got this great video about Africa. This is what I want to share. Plus a whole lot more. Dear Google, please give me back my playlists and I’ll watch the tutorials about optimizing my channel.
