Make yourself at home

My dream peace embassy

I dream of a massive peace embassy in the middle of Vienna. It has a café downstairs where you can always find interesting people to talk to as well as healthy and delicious snacks and beverages. Eventually I guess I’d also like to have a selection of healthy meals available for all those Peace Ambassadors who drop in for a short briefing and end up staying until it’s too late to go home for lunch or dinner.

This place is thriving with love and life.

It is the Unificationist headquarters and home office of a growing number of NGOs. The people who come and go here are passionate world changers. They have made a substantial contribution and experienced exciting and dramatic world changing events. Some of them marched at the Berlin Wall two years before it fell; chanting: The Wall Must Go! Some of them were underground missionaries behind the iron curtain. Many are blessed couples of an international/interracial or intercultural marriage.

A place to hear and tell stories

We all have our stories. I am so happy and grateful that we have a home here to share and tell our stories and inspire our younger generation.

The oldies here are the Baby Boomers. They are the hippie children of the seventies. They joined a new religious movement when it was persecuted and defamed. Some were still teenagers. Many gave up their jobs and education to become pioneer missionaries in a controversial movement.

The younger ones were born into a different world and were awakened to the dream of a potentially better future.

The three-generation homestead

This Peace Embassy also has a kindergarten and day care centre for young children. The families here know that every individual and family is responsible to make their own decisions about how they live their life. They appreciate the option to drop their children off while they save the world and know that their children are experiencing extended family relationships. The empty nesters come here too to become the adopted grandparents and cherish the opportunity to share their life stories.

This Peace Embassy has a courtyard which includes the children’s playground and a beautiful park and garden with trees, lawns and flowers. There are park benches where students come to read in the fresh air. There’s a fitness track where athletes of all genres can do their workouts and track work.

An oasis in the middle of the city

Yes, it is a bit massive. It takes up a whole block. The building houses all the offices of the various NGOs and also provides meeting and seminar rooms for concurrent meetings. There is even a swimming pool which also serves as an exercise and therapy pool for certain periods of the day or week.

There is a quiet area for meditation and private study apart from the common rooms designed for small group discussions.

My peace embassy has a bakery in the basement. People come from far and wide to buy the delicious home baked goodies coming from here.

Call to action

Come join me in building this peace embassy. It is currently my vision and dream. It is already substantial in my mind. If you can imagine it, you can build it. I see myself navigating various aspects of its realization.

I have learned about goal setting from Bob Proctor. I have learned about perseverance through my colourful life. I have learned humility as I listen to my children’s good advice.
