Ozlilly's musings...

Cyprus

You know the feeling when you think it’s not good enough, so you end up doing nothing? Well, I still think there is great potential for improvement and so am posting anyhow. I see where I could have added music instead of keeping engine noise. I see where I could have added a still shot instead of the diverted camera.
Then I think of all the young people I know who could make a good clip in seconds. And yes, when I had the Mac, I too did such clips to music. Or then with that other programme which has also since disappeared, an app on the phone.
So what is my specialty? I do it anyhow. I am not too proud to post something imperfect. Yet I have lots of potential for getting support and inter-generational interaction.

But I am already racing ahead. First I made a video with the photos from Cyprus. Impressions Part 1.
Then I made another one from the videos. Part 2.

Landing in Munich
Why did I spend so much time just filming the landing?
I was thinking about my first trip to Europe, when I came to visit my grandparents in Munich.
Here I am now, landing in Munich and thinking about that first trip forty years ago!
I had a ticket to London with a “stopover” in Munich. The tickets from Australia were valid for a year, so I could stay on the continent a year, and then flew to London a week before flying back home to Melbourne.
Now I have already spent more time here in Europe than I did in Australia.

The house is sold
My brothers have sold the house. Christmas is coming. The Christmas markets have started in Vienna. Tonight we are going to our son’s concert with VieVox, a double quartett of former Vienna Boys Choir members, now all grown up men, singing together for fun.
Yes, Cyprus reminds me that it is summer at Christmastime in Australia.
Have a look at my video if you like. It’s my impressions from Cyprus. It seems to be as close as I will get to Down Under right now.
