Wetsuit

We did it! We went out to the Great Barrier Reef and we both went snorkeling!

It is still a challenge to accept the fact that shops here in Australia close at five thirty and in fact, most coffee shops start closing down at three. We got lunch on the boat and the afternoon tea was an instant coffee and cheese and crackers. Once we landed in Port Douglas we went looking for a coffee shop, but our typical experience here, Down Under is, we are too late and everything is closing down. I knew there was a Coffee Club opposite Coles and Coles is open until nine in the evening, so we tried our luck. I could not find iced coffee on the menu card, but there it was on the board. So we both selected our flavours but the iced coffee chocolate, was only chocolate without the coffee, the caramel and strawberry too. When I tried to explain the confusion to the sales attendant she made great effort to describe what we would get, but didn’t quite understand that I expected iced coffee with caramel flavour when the menu said Iced Coffee chocolate, mocha, caramel, strawberry. Then she told us they were closing in twenty minutes so we could get our coffees in take out cups. Eventually we got our coffee, we sat in the shop, we had real glasses, and then left just on five-thirty.
